President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved over 15billion naira in emergency fund to help Nigeria tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
Taking to social media, the president released a statement on the moves the government has taken to tackle the recent coronavirus pandemic
The coronavirus is an ongoing global pandemic, which is responsible for the death of over 23,000, with over 510,000 people also reported to have been infected by the virus.
Taking to social media, Buhari revealed that he has released a N10 billion grant to Lagos state to help deal with the virus, while the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), has gotten a N5 billion special intervention fund.

“Over the last few days I have received extensive briefings on the state of the nation as it relates to the Covid-19 pandemic, from the relevant Federal Government agencies as well as the Lagos State Government.
Accordingly, I approved the following:
“The immediate release of a 10 billion Naira grant to Lagos State, which remains the epicentre of the Covid-19 outbreak in Nigeria. This grant will enable Lagos increase its capacity to control and contain the outbreak, while also supporting other States with capacity-building.
